I installed Kubuntu 5.10 and had the following issues:

-could not install if I did not specify nolapic noapic expert and pci=noacpi. My
pc is a Gygabyte 7400 mobo, video is ATI. With these parameters, all was OK
-Gimp crashed when trying to use it
-kynaptic crashed and now I cannot re-install it. It asks for dpkg --configure
-a, but when I try it, nothing happens
-floppy is found but cannot access it
