Ubuntu | kde-systemsettings
Summary: system settings gui: U.S. keyboard alt-intl variant not
working
Product: Ubuntu
Version: unspecified
Platform: i386
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: kde-systemsettings
AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
QAContact: [email protected]
In the KDE systemsettings GUI, if I select the keyboard layout U.S. English with
a layout variant of alt-intl, nothing happens. It seems like the GUI is just
not running the command "setxkbmap -model pc104 -layout us -variant alt-intl"
that it says it will run. If I run that command myself, from a bash window, it
works fine, so it must be something the GUI isn't doing right.
