Ubuntu | kaffeine-xine
Summary: Kaffeine-xine deinterlacing no longer works
Product: Ubuntu
Version: unspecified
Platform: i386
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: kaffeine-xine
AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
QAContact: [email protected]
The title pretty much sums it up. Using Hoary, the kaffeine deinterlacing was
very good. Now, in breezy, the deinterlacing (even the "experimental"
deinterlacing) barely works. Scanlines show up in at least half of the
frames, and playback is extremely choppy -- this seems like a major regression
to
me. I have tested this on both intel and AMD based machines with both nvidia
and ati cards in them. This problem exists on machines that have been
dist-upgraded as well as machines that have clean installs. All of these
machines have DMA turned on. I was not having this problem as recently as 3 or
4
weeks ago on my Breezy testing box. I will be happy to provide any additional
info you might need.
