Public bug report changed:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/34398

Comment:
It is possible that this is actually stupid user error.
I have been trying to install the latest nvidia drivers,
and in doing so introduced various corruptions
into the file systems. I tried to correct them, but
may not have gotten everything.

I tried several things to find out more about this bug:
1. upgraded all available packages this morning
    (03/11/06 USA PST)
2. built adept for bug reporting (as suggested
in 'necessary reading for bug submitters' post
in Dapper Drake forum) and installed it.
3. Restarted in Mandriva
4. removed all files/directories in my Kubuntu
home directory that are provided to new users, so
as to force recreation on next login.
5. removed everything in Kubuntu /tmp owned by
me, so as to force recreation at next login.
6.Restarted in Kubuntu, logged in as me.
7. Started adept, attempted to recreate the
freeze. At this point the freeze symptom was gone.
8. Removed debug adept version and reinstalled
repo version.
9. Started adept and attempted to recreate the freeze. Couldn't make it happen.

I suspect something in the ICE files for my account
was out of sync, but I couldn't say what.

What should be done with this bug?
