Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdvi

Hi,
this is a MAJOR problem,
if you do a FRESH installation of ubuntu feasty, and install kile [for latex
editing] and install kdvi for viewing the output.. everything works fine...
as soon as the first updates are recieved [5 updates] and are installed.. then
whenever kdvi is called from kile, the process "gs" is created and it takes
more than 85% of the system memory [i have 1 gig] and it doens't die unil you
kill lots side processes

cheers
hamed
