You have been subscribed to a public bug:
1. Go to Kubuntu control panel, font menu.
2. Click "Adjust All Fonts"
3. Click to enable choosing a font
4. Choose URW Gothic L
5. Press OK
6. Observe that the font show is bold
If you try to also choose Font Style in the dialog and choose Light this
does not help. The workaround is to choose the font for each category
of use and select light.
