- Fresh installation of Kubuntu Karmic Koala 9.10 on the laptop below. - Restart with 2nd monitor VGA plugged in (1280x1024 TFT) - Enable both monitors in "System Settings - Display - Size & Orientation": LVDS and VGA-0 enabled. - Open: "System Settings - Display - Multiple Monitors": "This module is only for configuring systems with a single desktop spread across multiple monitors. You do not appear to have this configuration" xrandr tryout with error message: xrandr --output LVDS --auto --output VGA-0 --auto --left-of LVDS xrandr: screen cannot be larger than 1280x1280 (desired size 2560x1024) I am not able to use multiple monitors.
