Public bug reported: Binary package hint: k3b
Since the video files on my computer are available on a mounted samba file system, I have K3b first creating a DVD ISO file in the default /tmp/kde-roland directory before burning. In the past, this seemed to be the safest way to provide the burning package speedy, reliable data. This worked fine in the Jaunty (KDE3) version of K3b. In the Karmic (KDE4) version, K3b hangs after creating the DVD ISO file and just sits there. If I get a konsole prompt and use ln to link the ISO file to an additional file name, then I can preserve the ISO from the auto-remove function. K3b can then can burn the ISO file fine so the ISO file is good as far as I can tell.
