  Steps to repeat
  
  1-Download any ISO.
  2-right click on iso from file manager and click "open with k3b".
  3-K3b program will open.(the empty medium is in the optical drive)
  4-press burn
  5-disk spins up for about 25 seconds, then K3b throws an error, "probably a 
problem with the medium"
  
  I have tried several good quality dvd's and cd's, the same problem
- occurs. No problem is experienced when burning files to the medium.

  what should have happened- the iso should have burnt well onto the dvd,
