Public bug reported: Hello, I installed the system in the minimum option, edited the partitioning to be / btrfs, 20gb swap, created the efi boot partition. I connected the internet right away, without going into live test mode.
After it was installed and updated, I noticed that the program that manages drivers, the firmware updater, something like that, did not appear here. The welcome screen also did not appear. Wayland did not appear on the login screen either. Does it no longer come with the minimum installation? Maybe there was another program or important thing on the system that didn't come, maybe codec, or something else on the system, I don't remember right now. But personally, I liked being lighter and more direct to the point. There is no browser, leaving it up to the user to choose the browser they want to use. Also not installing snap, ideal for those who only use .deb, leaving it more for the user to choose what they want in the system. I just wanted to clear up this doubt. 👍😄 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 24.04 Package: systemsettings 4:5.27.11-0ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 6.8.0-31.31-generic 6.8.1 Uname: Linux 6.8.0-31-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.28.1-0ubuntu3 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: unknown CurrentDesktop: KDE Date: Tue May 28 17:32:31 2024 InstallationDate: Installed on 2024-05-04 (24 days ago) InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 24.04 LTS "Noble Numbat" - Release amd64 (20240425.1) SourcePackage: systemsettings UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: systemsettings (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug noble ** Description changed: Hello, I installed the system in the minimum option, edited the partitioning to be / btrfs, 20gb swap, created the efi boot partition.
