Bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sddm/+bug/2066275 was filed two months later and went unknown to me until I read the recent sddm ubuntu 24.04 package release notes. As mentioned by Brian I have no clue why a new report was filed https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sddm/+bug/2066275/comments/4
This issue is potentially fixed by the recent package updates.
