Public bug reported: When I save several of the options in the System Settings under Kubuntu 26.04, they do not stick. Some do not save properly after closing the system settings, others like the auto mount do not save after reboot.
The ones I have seen not working are the Notifications sound which I have tried to mute (Had to try it about 10 times between reboots and checking the system settings several times before a reboot until it worked. Others like the auto mount do not work at all, same for the animations. It consistently forgets and this is happening on 5 computers. This also includes renaming audio devices (Like the input one I showed on the video). I have also submitted a video here to show the problems: https://youtu.be/p2USYrSpvQA ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 26.04 Package: systemsettings 4:6.6.4-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 7.0.0-14.14-generic 7.0.0 Uname: Linux 7.0.0-14-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.34.0-0ubuntu2 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: unknown CurrentDesktop: KDE Date: Fri Apr 24 14:41:39 2026 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/systemsettings InstallationDate: Installed on 2026-04-24 (0 days ago) InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 26.04 "Resolute Raccoon" - Release amd64 (20260423) SourcePackage: systemsettings UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) modified.conffile..etc.default.apport: # set this to 0 to disable apport, or to 1 to enable it # you can temporarily override this with # sudo service apport start force_start=1 enabled=0 mtime.conffile..etc.default.apport: 2026-04-24T14:13:35.651871 ** Affects: systemsettings (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug resolute wayland-session -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to systemsettings in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2150278 Title: Kubuntu 26.04 System Settings not saving or remembering changes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemsettings/+bug/2150278/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
