For what its worth, the only time I would use the buttons is for Pidgin when receiving a new message, and they don't seem to work for me (if this have since been fixed, sorry!)
As far as the file copy progress, it doesn't really make sense when I watch it 0/1 and spin animation. Seems a step backwards from a good old progress bar/percentage. I'd rather see a lot of the notifications go back to basics (dialogs, baloons, etc), or go without interaction until the interaction works. Glossy widgets as a notification area feel bloated to the eye, especially when comparing them to Ubuntu notifications (which is similar in a lot of ways to Outlook email notifications) I know my argument is based on Pidgin -- a GTK application -- but I don't think a write-up is needed for why Pidgin is much better to use than Kopete (or is a write-up due?) My 2 cents. Constructive and appreciative. :) -Tres On Mon, Nov 1, 2010 at 5:57 PM, Scott Kitterman <[email protected]>wrote: > On Monday, November 01, 2010 03:46:29 pm Markus Slopianka wrote: > > Kubuntu does not use Colibri but Atayana (or whatever it's called) > > notifications. > > This is wrong.
