Hi folks, Right now I'm hearing lots of people talking past one another. We're all at the same party, but not having a nice big dialog where we can think together. I hear lots of frustration on all sides. Please, please, try to make it both to a short meeting to decide on very short-term goals and the Vision meeting.
Planning together will stop us stepping on one another's toes, and pulling in the opposite direction at times. We're all good at what we do; that isn't in dispute. However, I keep hearing about people fixing things other folks do not see as broken or even in need of changing -- these things should be agreed on in advance. It is frustrating to have time to work, and nothing to work on. It is also frustrating to have time to work, and having your work fail because there are changes "underneath" you don't know about. The cure for all of this is more communication. That involves speaking up, and it also involves lots of thinking, and listening. Please; this general grumpiness is very unpleasant for all of us. Pasting a smile on your face doesn't change things -- only communication does.
