hello

I have sucessifully booted as guest XP and Solaris

what I want to do now is to use a host operating system (Linux) with several
(one to start with) guest operating systems on a virtual network with no actual
network connection all virtual for a test system.
(I dont want to carry a network with me to do some testing).
I have kernel 2.6.20.6 with kvm module kqemu module and qemu installed

I boot winXP by
qemu -hda /path/to/image.raw -cdrom /dev/cdrom-hdc -net nic -boot c -m 300 -usb
-win2k-hack -no-acpi

and i have configured the guest xp with IP address say 192.168.1.2 and host
192.168.1.1 (Linux) and it shows a network connection in XP.

In particular I have Apach running on the host and want the guests (virtual
clients) to access this webserver and view the website in the client operating
system browser.

is this possible? will I need a virtual gateway/router?

If you can help I will be delighted to hear from you
Kind Regards
Michael

and thanks to the Qemu team and the Linux team for a job well done.
