Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: kucharsk (kucharsk) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: kvm-34 returns cr0 with ET clear Initial Comment: Several builds ago kvm was fixed such that an FPU was properly reported to exist on boot. Something in build 34 broke that fix, as booting a Solaris kernel once again fails because no FPU is detected at boot. Indeed, by checking cr0 before execution of the kernel starts, its value is reported as 0x8004001, or: PG | AM | PE Note that ET (bit 4) is erroneously clear. This is on a Fedora 7 system running kernel 2.6.22.1-41.fc7 on an Opteron system.
