Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Technologov (technologov) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: KVM stops during guest restart Initial Comment: This bug is old as the KVM itself, but I decided to make it official: KVM hangs when doing guest restart. Guest's Screen usually goes black (but not always), and all activity stops. User can kill such a process. Host: Fedora7/64, Intel CPU, KVM-48. Guest: Windows XP SP2. So, KVM stops in the following cases: -during Windows XP setup restart with -no-acpi parameter. -during *any* restart with default parameters KVM survives guest restart in the following cases: -during XP restart with -no-acpi parameter -during XP restart with -no-kvm-irqchip parameter Of course, -no-kvm (Qemu) works too :) -Technologov, 28.10.2007. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=893831&aid=1821704&group_id=180599 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
