Not appreciably except POSSIBLY in VERY a rural environment. You should get the same overall volume at 18K, 25K, or 50K feet from the CO. The phone company usually deploys SLCs that MUX into T1 lines in areas that are very far from a proper CO, or even install remote switches. > > Question #2 Can the phone company do anything about the volume?
