Panasonic Tech support has a fix for this. I
had the same problem. It is a software
download. We might still have it. If we do, I
will send it. Or when you have a frehour or
two, call tech support for it.

I am having trouble (or more accurately my
customer is having trouble) with a delay
between the system phones ( 7700 series) going
off-hook, and the connection being established
with the calling party.  I saw a post about
this problem but did not see a solution.  I
have installed several of these systems and as
far as I know this is the only one with this
symptom.  When a call comes in, regardless of
how many rings, the first and sometimes the
second greeting is not heard by the caller.  I
tried to convince the customer to answer more
slowly ; ) but this obviously is
unworkable.  Please help.

Connect the same phone unit directly to KXTA824
with short cable (2m)
and check it again.
