I got called out to add CID to a client with an existing 624 install. I added 
the CID module and replaced all the 7020 handsets with KX-T7731's. The 
administrator had a KX-T7030, which I left in place at extension 101. 

I checked the programming of values of the CID stuff at 900, 901, etc...Set up 
flexable CID buttons at each extension. (Personal only, more on that later...).

Here is what works: I can see incoming CID info on all phones while ringing, 
and can toggle between name & number with no pronlems. 

Here is what doesnt work: I can not program any Common Area CID Indication or 
Selection Buttons on the 7731's and extensions. It just won't take the command. 
Personal Area programming was not an issue. The 7731's are also not Call 
Logging. Extension 101 (the older 7030) is call logging fine. 

I also do not have program 909 availble in programming (Common Area Call Log 
Check Assignment) available. At first I thought it was the Eprom Version, which 
is Y581-A 000421(M), but I have another in the field with the same version that 
works...

I know CID is not a strength of the system, but if I can get it to Call Log and 
display incoming call, that is all the customer wants. 

Any ideas?
