I had the same situation once, and used the hotline for SLT feature to make
the SLT go directly to a CO of the clients choice. Then, I adjusted the
hotline waiting time [203] to four seconds so that for a brief four seconds
you get a system tone. With a small bit of training, the client was able to
recognize the difference in the tones, and enter an extension or paging
number before it went to CO.

Customer has several SLTs (in addition to many proprietary phones) on an 824
system.  She wants their outgoing line preference set to CO.  But she also
wants to be able to access the intercom for in house calls and paging.

I can't find a method to access the intercom after the 824 has already
obtained the outside CO.

Any suggestions?
