Hi all - thanks for the advice so far - this module has been installed
in the top expansion slot of the KXTD816. I'll pull some of the test
extensions tonight and swap them over to the main unit - to ensure the
cabling is all okay. Otherwise I can't think of why the digital lines
don't work but the analog lines do!

No, it makes no difference. It can however make a difference which slot you
placed the card in. Do you have it in the top slot or the bottom slot? Brad

Subject: KX-T: 8 line extension module (KXTD170)
Hi,
as ever another in my long line of 'should know better' questions.
I've expanded out KXTD816 with a KXTD170 extension module, I can see
it's already configured in PBX to look for an extension there.
However, I've connected a few test phones to it, and only the analog
handsets are recognised. Apart from good practice to setup a good
numbering scheme etc - should the digital handsets not be enabled by
default?
