I live in an area with earthquakes and winter storms. When the power goes out, it is usually out for 8 - 48 hours, which is longer than the normal battery back-up lasts on the telephone switch. I would like to have a battery back-up that would last 1-4 days for my kx-td1232. I currently have the regular battery back-up system with it's two little lead/acid batteries and the charger/controller box that plugs into the switch. Are there any plans, information, specification, or wiring diagrams that would allow the use of larger gell cells or Optima batteries? I would not want to put large batteries on the little charger build for the switch. Thank you in advance for your help. Brent.
