Problem revisited with new findings. Customer had no problems with Copper
using the Flash for conferencing. Switched to Cablevision VoIP about a year
ago. Flash worked for quite a few months on all four lines. Flash then got
intermittent and now only works on Line 1.

Spent two visits with Cablevision senior tech. At first visit was not able to
get flash to work even from a SLT plugged into the back of the modem on Lines
2,3,4, only on Line 1. Second visit with Cablevision, they swapped out the four
line modem and now ALL lines work from a SLT. However, only Line 1 works from
a PT. I then swapped each one, one at a time, into CO1 port and it worked. I
now am convinced we have a problem in the building after the Cablevision modem.

My question ... could it be a KSU problem that only one of the four ports
handles the FLASH feature correctly ... or could I be dealing with a wire
problem between the Cable modem on the second floor and the KSU in the
basement. Each CO line comes down on a separate CAT5e cable dedicated to that
one line. All four Cat5e cables traverse the same route from second floor to
basement.

Any suggestions ... or should I tell the customer that he needs a new KSU.
[The 624 was installed 6/25/2001]. It is a little over seven years old.
