Do the same, you can't go wrong.
The Pairs:
1st - analog
2nd - digital (really the one that you need)
3rd - for the old 7130 OHCA feature - never used on anything else
They then repeat for the next port.
8 ports per 25 pair cable (8 X 3 = 24 pairs + 1 unused pair)

If you punch down pairs 1 & 2 on the block and then to a 6 position, 4 pin
modular plug (pair 1 center 2 pins, pair 2 outer 2 pins), and program the TD
properly, you will have digital integration. If it worked before, it should
work now too.

The TVA50 is only a 2 port system - 2 calls at the same time. Only ONE
digital PORT is necessary. If you connect a 2nd, it will do nothing
(unless you are in analog integration, then it is necessary).

Hi,

I really enjoy following this group as I pick up quite a bit from you

professionals out there. Now I have a question of my own.

I recently changed locations and am trying to reconnect the Panasonic

KX-TVA50 to the KXTD-1232. However I am a bit confused as to how to

connect the ports. I believe the 2 ports are really for four

extensions. Now as I normally punch down 4 wires then skip 2 posts and

punch down another 4 wires for the standard extensions; do I do the

same here as well? Or do I only punch down 2 wires then skip 4 and

repeat for the next 3 extensions? I appreciate any help as you guys

always came through in the past.

Be Well!

Ben Hirsch
