Fin Where does the tone you are talking about come from. Does the headset generate a tone when you push a button. If you are talking about pushing a button the hold button is right there on the phone set. Plantronics, Jabra also provide lifters kits for their headsets. Person answering presses a button on the headset, lifter lifts the handset of the phone and bada bing the call is answered. X 101 would have to use the phone for hold, transfer etc. Maybe set up xdp on the receptionist extension. IE, x 101 receptionist x201 xdp. Hang a std wireless set off the xdp port. Flash button on wireless should put the calling party on hold. Look up standard slt features for the kxtd. It will list features and dial codes. Those features could be programmed on the wireless single line to help x 201 with the call. Panasonic wireless for the kxtd (used) is another option.

Have a KX-TD1232. Receptionist is looking for a wireless headset to plug into her KX-T7431 phone. She would like it to also be able to put calls on hold. Does the KX-TD1232 recognize any tone (or tone combination) as equivalent to flashing the hook switch? In other words, could one send something from a wireless headset like tone-5-0 that would put a call on hold? Will the KX-TD1232 even accept tones sent via a KX-T7431 phone handset/headset microphone as control tones? Any other ideas? I guess I could set up a wireless phone/headset on another extension designated as Operator 2.
