The basic issue is how to tell which station is ringing, at a distance. It's easy if sitting at a desk in the office.
We're going to change ring tones on the 343's, but nearer phones will POTS ones. I'm thinking 'wasting' several SuperHybrid ports on such [We were planning on having one POTS port feeding most of the POTS stations...] & having the POTS phone over there ring in group A, and the 2nd one *there* on group B, etc.
The penultimate solution would be a smart ringer that plugs into a digital port and gives different ring tones for different ring groups.
