Yes, you can get both name & number...
Look in 'Additional Information' .... there is a bit that you set, (1 or
0), to affect whether or not you get name or not on the SMDR.

I have a kxtd1232-3 with a Caller ID board, and seems to work fine, I get
caller-id on the phones and in the SMDR output, but while the phones show
name and number (KXT7433) the SMDR only has the number. This is what I get:
