Customer has an analog 616. They report that at least a couple of times each
day, incoming callers will hear a squeal then the phone disconnects and they
have to call back. The office personnel answer the call but only get the
hang up (they don't hear the squeal internally).

It happens on any phone, and on any line, various times of day.  Verizon
says it's not their problem.

any clues on this one?
