We have been seeing this type thing happening where a
single station goes goofy. Just unplug and replug the
set and all will be fine. If it happens again, look
for RF noise near the set. At one location, we
pinpointed it to a laser printer next to the phone,
moved them apart (other side of desk) and problem went
away.

Also, while punching down / moving stations on a 66M,
if your tool shorts a data pair, you can see the same
effect. Or worst case, take down the four related
sets and loose the calls in progress. You do POWER
DOWN while making M/C??? (yea, right)

Another unrelated problem we solved (after too many
weeks). Strange three beeps after picking up a line,
especially the first call of the day at that set.

After awhile, you know all the tones a KSU can
generate. This one was so well timed, it had to be
from the KSU, but I was positive it wasn't a KSU tone.
Maybe something from the CO? After a day with a line
to a real SLT, it wasn't from the CO.

Really found it by accident, moved a phone to a new
location. Sounded distorted... no problem, changed
the plantronics headset batteries. Big light flashes,
the plantronics does three beeps for dead battery
warning!!! Changed batteries in other sets, problem
gone. Of course, if you use plantronics with your
pano sets next to a computer monitor, you use
batteries to get rid of the hum.
