Its not even saltwater corrosion, its just plain SaltAIR corrosion. Using a
punchblock anywhere is useless. use gelfilled "B" connectors for any
possible splice- Then use heat shrinkable tubing over that & enclose it.
Standard rj11s using the center pins also are not going to last
