The awkward situation  you can run into with a fax switch is that people
will need to remember that sometimes that line might appear dead if a fax is
being sent, it would need to be in a separate trunk group.

If you set the fax line to dil 1:1 to an analog extension and put the fax on
that extension, then the ksu will know when the line is in use so outgoing
calls can use the line normally.
The only trouble this way is you need to dial a 9 to grab the line for
outgoing faxes. If you have a lot of speeddials already programmed into the
fax, then you might want to reprogramm them
