it sounds like you might just have a faulty ksu. even though its an
expensive step in troubleshooting you have to consider swapping out the ksu
as the next step in troubleshooting your doorbell problem. I remember having
a couple of calls when I was working at Panasonic tech support about systems
with weird doorbell problems that ended up being a faulty ksu. The ksu was
always the last piece of hardware that the dealer would consider in the
troubleshooting process of their doorbell problems. it sounds like you tried
almost everything but swapping out the cabinet.

now with that in mind .... next week, I might be inheriting a slightly
used -4 d1232 that I can re-sell at a reasonable price....you can email me
