Probably the intention was not to overwrite your existing translation,
but the change affected a lot of languages and it was difficult to check
each one.
I'm sorry when this was wrong. :-( I simply thought that the website is
outdated as the desgin was significantly different to the nowadays
known. If you want the old one back it's OK, just tell us.
The strings for the homepage can be translated directly in "index.html".
However, the download webpage (about-downloads.html) was speaking about
OpenOffice.org and at the end it was just a link back to the main
download webpage. So, this should be an improvement. The strings on this
webpage can be translated in "w.oo.o/ru/download/msg_prop_l10n_ru.js".

Can anyone please send the zipped content of Russian part of the website?

If you now download index.html and supply a translated version of it, we
can commit it back and remove the "We need your help" note.
To remove the note just set the property "l10n.index_alert_box_show" to
"false" in the "w.oo.o/ru/msg_prop_l10n_ru.js" JS file.
