That's precisely my own view on these matters. (And the reason why I
still consider any ongoing development on Hurd/Mach not only absolutely
worthwhile, but actually the main priority, in spite of it's know
performance problems...)

Nice to see others expressing similar opinions -- especially as some
persons here claim that the prospect of achieving Linux-like performance
is an absolute must for further development to be justified, as most
people -- they claim -- won't accept anything slower, regardless of
additional features.
