Hello actors and singers, I am currently casting a concert version of "Dubya and the Gang of Seven," = an anti-Bush musical written by the prolific writer Leon Katz (book and lyr= ics), and composed by Billionaire's for Bush composer and lyricist Clifford Tassn= er (music).
The auditions will be held October 2 from 11:00-3:00 and October 3 from 1:00-4:00 at Madilyn Clark Studios in North Hollywood. (10852 Burbank Blvd,= Burbank 91505). We play at the Secret Rose Theatre = the weekends of October 22-24, 29-31 and November 5-7. For the audition, please bring sheet music in a proper key. Accompanist provided. Prepare a Broadway or role appropriate song. Bring pix and resume. Breakdown: (note all actors should look like or be able to pull off looking like these= s roles) GW- Baritone/ Can do the real George W Bush in accent, mannerisms, etc. Condy Rice- mezzo. Lush R&B voice. Ashcroft- Tenor. Geddy Lee or Robert Plantish. Wolfowitz- baritone. Jewish Cantoral style Rumsfeld/ Bass Cheney/ Bass. Strong singer/ (there are some rhythmically difficult patter = songs) Powell- Baritone/tenor. Gospel style. Rove- Baritone/tenor. Versatile musical theater voice. Powell Jr. �Baritone. Soul and R&B voice. Younger version of his father.= GOD- Bass/ Gospel soul voice. Angel's-Women's Gospel choir. Soprano, mezzo, alto.
