festival ecomaya 2005 
PUBLIC RELEASE 
âCelebrating our culture 
and protecting our  Mother Earth, 
Connecting the Environment, Culture and  Heritage"   
 
 
What: The _ECO Maya Festival_ (http://www.ecomayafestival.com/)   originated 
11th years ago and is recognized throughout Southern  California. This 
environmental hemispheric arts event connects the  indigenous cultural heritage 
of 
the Americas, with the urban mecca of  diversity. We invite you to join in the 
celebration of Latino  environmental stewardship, family, humanity and world 
peace. Public  admission is free of charge. 
When: Mother Earth Day  Celebration - Saturday, April 23 & Sunday 24, 2004. 
(10 AM to  7 PM) 
Where: Los  Angeles Eco Village. We are approximately 3 miles west of 
Downtown on  Bimini Place and 1st Street, one block east of Vermont  Avenue 
Free  admission. 
Main stage performances  by Francisco Aguabella Afrocuba Ensemble, , j 
Tikonrl'ab ceremonial  dances, Cuauhtemoc Mexica  Dancers, Ajpop Tecun Mayan 
Dancers,  Midnigth Theater, El Vuh Hip Hop (mexica spitituality), Kema  
(folk-jazz), 
Upground (cumbia, SkaEast LA flavor), Fitter (Latin  Rock ) and more music, 
performances, folklife, vendors, The  Storytelling Ecological Park presenting 
Bimini and Mayan memories, kids  atractions, food and ECO-exhibitors.

Found is supported by retail music royalties, which have suffered from the

the future of the Found and the communities it serves. Your awareness and
