The new mailing list address for the SCCN is [EMAIL PROTECTED] Contact: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------- Drafting and Revising Mission Statement (This is a vague draft, we'll write a more developed draft and send it out) The purpose of the Southern California Collective Network is to build communication and support in groups, collectives, and individuals Our points of Unity are: - Anti-Capitalism - Autonomy with Solidarity (communities, collectives and others fighting to organize themselves and wanting to link up with others who are doing the same) - Mutual Aid (Sharing resources) - Direct-Democracy Structural Unity: -Anti-Authoritarianism -Consensus Process -The network reserves the right to exclude groups -- democratically Meetings: We hold meetings on the first Sunday of every month, our next meeting will be June 5th at 33 1/3 Bookstore and Gallery 1200 Alvarado (off of Sunset in Echo Park) at 3pm ----------------------- Newsletter: Printed and On-line Versions Our audience would be the communities, with language geared towards them, but the newsletter would be distributed amongst activists as well. Editorial Process: Articles would be chosen collectively, for the newsletter, on an open editorial board that requires responsibility and commitment from its members. Artists, writers, translators and others will help with the process of producing the newsletter We will meet every 3rd Sunday of the month to discuss the newsletter which will be produced bi-monthly -- Our next meeting will be Sunday May 15th at 33 1/3 Books and Collective Gallery
