#3 "Troops Home Now Rally" in Laguna Woods Saturday,
      January 13th

From: Shirley McGovern <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

A "Bring the Troops Home Rally" will be held Saturday, January 13th
at the corner of Paseo de Valencia and El Toro Rd, in front of the
Washington Mutual Bank.

Event called for 11am to 12:30pm.

Pulling our troops out of harms way is long overdue. The President
is determined to stay the course despite the recent election which
clearly told him the people of this country want the U.S. out of Iraq.
Our new Congress needs a strong and clear message that voting
more $$'s for the war is no way to "support the troops".

We must get out in the streets and express our concerns about our
purpose and presence in Iraq. AND, the new Congress must hear
from us loud and clear.

Everyone is invited to attend. Be an active witness for peace.

Signs will be provided, or bring your own. Please park in Long's
parking area across the street.

#7 Every Sunday evening in Huntington Beach:

"Peace vigil every Sunday night at the foot of the
Huntington Beach Pier, 7-8 pm

It's hard for most people to imagine a world at peace.
We are a very small group of people who believe that
this is indeed possible and that peace will happen once
enough people believe that it can. So we stand at the
pier every Sunday night with a sign that says:
"Visualize World Peace. It's up to you".

We also believe in non-violence both physically
and in our thoughts. We will discuss peace and
non-violence with anyone who is rational and
smile quietly at those who aren't. We hold this vigil
in a spirit of dignity and respect for all as we try
to build bridges with those who don't share our
philosophy.

Please bring a candle or just help us hold up our
banner (no signs please; we have our banner!)
