(Somewhat) Good News (from truthout): Two Charges Dropped Against Watada - http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/013007J.shtml - The US government has agreed to drop two counts of conduct unbecoming an officer from its case against 1st Lieutenant Ehren Watada. The two counts, dropped Monday, carry a maximum of two years in prison. Watada made comments to reporters in June explaining why he refused to go to Iraq, why he was challenging the Bush administration's reasons for going to war, and why he considers the war illegal.
