TO BE THEME OF GEORGE HARRISON 64th BIRTHDAY EVENT IN HOLLYWOOD ON FEBRUARY 25 Hollywood, CA The stars will be out in Hollywood that Sunday for the Academy Awards. But earlier in Hollywood on February 25, fans of George Harrison and the Beatles will gather at 12:00 Noon in front of the Capitol Records Tower Building to remember the late, legendary musical superstar on what would have been Mr. Harrisons 64th birthday. Capitol Records is located at 1750 N. Vine Street in Hollywood. And, of course, the theme of the special free-to-the-public birthday remembrance will be Will You Still Need Me When Im 64? Fans are invited to bring flowers and candles and to perform songs, poetry and spoken word tributes. A highlighted cake-cutting ceremony will take place at 12:30 PM. Chris Carter, host of the popular KLOS-FM Sunday morning weekly radio show, Breakfast With the Beatles, will serve as the official cake cutter. Longtime peace activist Jerry Rubin will serve as the event M.C. George Harrison was born February 25, 1943 in Liverpool, England and passed away on November 29, 2001 in Los Angeles after a long bout with cancer. The event is being sponsored by the Alliance for Survival peace and environmental group.
