Thursday, May 10, 7 PM, Ashanti Alston, former Black Panther/BLA 
political prisoner, and new national co-chair of the Jericho Amnesty 
Movement will speak about the recent Jericho national meeting and the 
case of the SF Eight. (Also present will be Lawrence Reyes of the 
Puerto Rican Alliance, and Sumi Braun of CopwatchLA and Asians for 
Jericho & Mumia, who both attended the meeting on behalf of the LA 
Jericho coalition). Copies of "Legacy of Torture," the video about 
the case will be available for purchase. Event will take place at the 
Southern CA Library for Social Studies & Research at 6120 S. Vermont 
Ave., between Slauson & Gage. Donation to benefit Jericho and local 
defense and education efforts for the SF8.

Thursday, May 17, 7 PM, "Framing An Execution," new full length video 
documentary about Mumia Abu-Jamal, narrated by Danny Glover which be 
shown on the date of oral arguments in Mumia's final, life or death 
appeal before federal judges in Pennsylania. Learn more about Mumia's 
case. Event at the Southern CA Library, 6120 S Vermont, between 
Slauson and Gage. Donation to benefit Jericho and local defense and 
education efforts for the SF8.

Sunday, May 20, 2 PM, monthly meeting of the Unity Mission to Free 
the Eight. Meeting will take place at the offices of the Peace and 
Freedom Party courtesy of the P&FP People of Color Caucus. 2617 S. 
Hauser, off Adams between Fairfax and La Brea.

Thursday, May 24, 7 PM, benefit show for the San Francisco Eight at 
Cal State University Los Angeles in the Golden Eagle Ballroom.

Also, the new issue of Turning the Tide is out with week with an 
article on the SF8 by sister Kiilu Nyasha, a former Black Panther, a 
piece on the latest developments and disclosures in Mumia Abu Jamal's 
case, including photographic evidence of police manipulation of the 
evidence, and an editorial linking the attacks on the SF8 and the 
Black Liberation struggle with the police, ICE and vigilante attacks
