I would like to invite you to the Office of the Americas 24th Anniversary
Celebration - this Sunday night at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica.
The program begins at 7:30 PM. The dinner starts at 6:00 PM (see below).
Blase and Theresa Bonpane, founders of the OOA, have been the Heart and Soul
of the Peace & Justice Movement here in the Los Angeles area for the last 24
years and are well known all over the country. I hope you can come and support
the OOA in continuing their very important work. If you can't afford to pay $35
for the program, you can pay as little as $10. No one will be turned away for
lack of funds. The hotel can seat as many as 1,000 people.
Some of the people they have honored in recent years have been Amy Goodman,
Howard Zinn, Ramsey Clark, Martin Sheen, Gore Vidal, Medea Benjamin,
Rev. James Lawson, Father Roy Bourgeois, Kathy Kelly, S. Brian Willson,
