KPFK 90.7 FM is conducting its election for local station board. I (Michael Novick, former UTLA chapter chair, editor of Turning the Tideenter) am running for LSB, along with the GrassrootsKPFK slate (Lawrence Reyes of SEIU Local 72 Latino/a Caucus, Aryana Gladney of Black Riders, Brenda Medina of UCLA and CSUN graduate school, Lydia Brazon of Humanitarian Law Project, Chuck Anderson, OC ACLU, and Ron Spriestersbach). If you are KPFK listener sponsor, please dig out your ballot and vote! The station must reach a quorum by Sept. 30, or the election may be moot. If enough people haven't voted by midnight Sept. 30, voting will be extended for 2 weeks. You will have to bring your ballot in to the station at 3729 Cahuenga Blvd. West in North Hollywood/Studio City, off the Lankershim exit on the 101 open until midnight Thursday. Please do so! Thanks.
