Pension Reform -- City of Los Angeles (Charter Amendment - Majority Approval Required) This is Pension deform that creates a new lower 2nd tier of pensions for new hires in the Police & Fire department. Vote NO. Charter Amendment LA-H. Restriction on Campaign Contributions from City Contractors -- City of Los Angeles (Charter Amendment - Majority Approval Required) Shall the Charter be amend to (1) restrict campaign contributions and fundraising by bidders on certain City contracts; require increased disclosure for bidders; and provide for bans on future contracts for violators; Wont end graft and corruption, but may reduce it- The Clean Money Campaign Folks support it. VOTE YES Charter Amendment LA-I. DWP Ratepayer Advocate -- City of Los Angeles (Charter Amendment - Majority Approval Required) Establishes a Rate Payer Avocate appointed by a citizens committee, and confirmed by the city council and mayor, More Public Accountability[particularly if progressives can get people on the committee that appoints.= VOTE YES Charter Amendment LA-L. Reassignment of Funds for Library System -- City of Los Angeles (Charter Amendment - Majority Approval Required) provides Los Angeles neighborhood public libraries with additional funding to help restore library service hours, purchase books and support library programs. VOTE HELL YES ! Proposition LA-M. Tax on Medical Marijuana -- City of Los Angeles (Ordinance - Majority Approval Required) The tax will fund general municipal services, including police protection and crime suppression services, fire prevention and suppression services, park and recreation facilities, and general improvements. VOTE YES. Measure LA-N. Public Funding of Campaigns -- City of Los Angeles (Charter Amendment - Majority Approval Required) Proposition LA-O. Tax on Oil Companies -- City of Los Angeles (Ordinance - Majority Approval Required) In order to fund general municipal services. Finally a chance to tax the rich instead of the workers=VOTE HELL YES! Charter Amendment LA-P. Emergency Reserve and Budget Stabilization Fund -- City of Los Angeles (Charter Amendment - Majority Approval Required) Charter Amendment LA-Q. Civil Service Hiring Rule Changes -- City of Los Angeles (Charter Amendment - Majority Approval Required) Measure Q would eliminate a charter provision that civil service exams be open to all qualified applicants.
