international campaign of solidarity for freedom of the Colombian-born
Swedish journalist Joaquín Pérez Mujica.

Political parties, social, civic, cultural, personal and other signatories
consider that:
a) .- On Saturday April 23 this year, was arrested at the airport Maiquetia
Caracas, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, journalist Joaquín Pérez Becerra,
born in Colombia and arrived in Sweden, with the approval of the Patriotic
Union ( UP) and the Partido Comunista Colombiano (PCC), which matches was a
councilor in the municipality of Corinto, department of Valle del Cauca, and
that as a political refugee for more than 20 years in Sweden, renounced
Colombian nationality and currently holds a Swedish citizen.
b) .- That Joaquín Pérez Becerra, as a Swedish citizen, along with other
renowned journalists coordinate ANNCOL alternative news website that is
based in Sweden and is published with the consent of the government of that
country.
c) .- That Joaquín Pérez Becerra is not a terrorist., not even a member of
the FARC and the intelligence agencies and the government of Colombia is
they want to believe the country and the world in development of
demonization to punish critics and opponents of the Colombian regime and
physically remove them.
d) .- The government of Colombia has accused him of belonging to the FARC,
as it does with so many people.

Taking into account the previous paragraphs allow us:
1 .- strongly protest against the government of the Bolivarian Republic of
Venezuela, whose revolution we are entirely supportive, but the inconsistent
attitude of President Hugo Chavez with the Colombian government of Juan
Manuel Santos and violates all international law by not allowing the citizen
and Colombo-Swedish journalist, Joaquín Pérez Becerra, even the presence of
counsel and the right to defense is becoming an affront against the
Colombian people.
Also, he urged once and for all the Venezuelan government clarity and legal
certainty, the possibility that in future the Colombian government demanding
the surrender of hundreds of Colombian exiles and refugees now living in
Venezuela legally and who are persecuted in Colombia, or any another exiled
Colombian citizen in another country to arrive in transit to Venezuela.
2 .- We urge the Swedish government that through its diplomatic
representation in Bogotá take prompt and solidarity with the Swedish
national, Joaquín Pérez Becerra, legal legal measures relevant to their
defense and request for early release unharmed with the Colombian government
and requires appropriate protection to safeguard their lives. And also to
defend the right to freedom of information by journalists in the world.
3 .- We call for global solidarity, democratic and revolutionary to be
vigilant and follow up on this case until the release of journalist Joaquín
Pérez Becerra and alerted the governments, parties and democratic
organizations in the world to denounce the activities of agencies Colombian
police and military intelligence which together with the
narco-paramilitaries and thugs have been making significant presence in many
Latin American countries and Europe supported by the Colombian embassy in
order to threaten, prosecute, imprison and threaten hundreds of political
refugees and opponents Colombian regime accused of terrorism, as in this
case the Colombian-Swedish journalist Joaquín Pérez Becerra
