Dear MLK Friends: LA-CAN (Los Angeles Community Action Network) will host a special Housing Activists Session of our weekend workshop on "The New Arts of Organizing" on Friday, June 24th, from 1-4:30 p.m. LA-CAN is one of the key organizations linking the activist housing movement together here in L.A.---including tenants, the homeless, those living in and/or fighting for improvements in public housing, and now those also organizing around mortgage foreclosures. This is a major, major plus, an ALL counts! We certainly need to adjust our public notices on the weekend's scheduled events to incorporate this fact, and encourage anyone we know who may be interested in attending to do so!
