According to Wikipedia, the population of the US is some 312 million.
The population of Libya, according to the same source, is about 6.5 million. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_population) NATO is on record as having carried out some 1700 air strikes on Libya, if I recall correctly. (Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong. I tried googling "NATO airstrikes on Libya" and various related search terms, but couldn't find the number.) So, if some mythical country were to attack the US by air, then if the ratio of Libyan population to US population is about 50, to equal NATO in ferocity they would have to carry out EIGHTY-FIVE THOUSAND (85,000) air strikes over US cities, water supply infrastructure, etc. Can you imagine what eighty-five thousand bombing missions in the US would look like? How Christian would WE be? Would WE "turn the other cheek" like we did after 9/11? (Notice anything wrong with that last question?) Just asking...
