ON SAT. 9/24/11 ACTIVITIES START 10:00 AM @ LA City Hall - General Assembly
12:00 Solidarity Protest with Occupy Wall Street & other nationwide protests 1:00 City Council Exits hall (approx.) 3:00 Assemble with 350.org Address for LA City Hall: 200 N. Spring St. For the other 99% ______________________________________________________________Corporate America is waging a silent war against the middle class. 400 Americans own more wealth than half of the country's population. Bankers created a system where millions of Americans eagerly got home loans they couldn't afford. Those loans fell apart. Who is homeless? Have you ever seen a homeless banker? A stockbroker on food stamps? Ever see a CEO eat Velveeta? I'd pay my entire bank account balance for a photo of a Hedge fund manager on the 6am City Bus. If you are fed up with this shit, come to this protest. If you are angry that some people can afford a Lobbyist and you can't, come to this protest. If you think it's a bit odd that a Corporation is a person in matters of campaign finance, but in matters of crime and liability it's a bunch of men just following orders, COME TO THIS PROTEST. If you've noticed Corporations create far more oil spills than minimum wage earners, come to this protest. If you think CEOs should learn the deep down warm feeling you get inside when you pay your taxes, come to this protest. If you noticed how seldom the job "Captain of Finance" gets shipped overseas, Come to this Protest!! I found this event and org on facebook. http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=223531871034344 Solidarity with the occupation in NY.
