Wednesday, October 26 ยท 5:30pm - 7:30pm Santee High School (Across the street from theCentro Cultural Francisco Villa) 1921Maple Ave. LosAngeles, California 90011 Union del Barrio, Frente Contra las Redadas, South Central NeighborhoodCouncil and MEChA de Santee are hosting a community forum in South Central LosAngeles to educate our community about how to get to college and about the CADREAM ACT. We have also invited DREAM Team LA to participate in this event. Thepurpose is to get our youth into college and also to organize our community todefend the CA DREAM ACT. The first part of the forum will be an educationalcomponent so that students and parents know who qualifies for the CA DREAM ACTand what the exact requirements are. The second half of the forum will begin with an informationalsession on the current movement to repeal the CA DREAM ACT. We will then have adiscussion on how we as a community can defend the CA DREAM ACT. We already knowthat the Tea Party and the Minutemen are launching a campaign to repeal it sowe have to get our students, parents, teachers and community organized todefend it!
